Anna will teach children the foundations of music through songs and dance, using egg shakers, rhythm sticks, drums, and other fun instruments.
Anna currently brings music classes into a few childcare centres right in the Shawnigan Lake region.
Preschool
The music curriculum for Preschool centres is Musikgarten's Cycle of Seasons program. In this program, nature provides the central theme for the activities. Children are encouraged in developing their sense of wonder at the natural world through nature-themed songs, stories and dances. Children learn the fundamentals of music through the pairing of music and movement. At the Preschool age, children are beginning to use percussion instruments and their voices. Children have fun singing and drumming to songs!
Daycare Centres
It is so wonderful to give the gift of music to children at such an early age! Having a music class in your daycare will give children an opportunity to experience the wonder and joy of music, as well as promote cognitive development. Musikgarten's My Day Curriculum is designed to help children develop impulse control and body awareness, learn to take turns and share, and refine motor skills. This is done through singing, chanting, dancing, moving, playing simple instruments, and listening. Children have so much fun learning to move their bodies to the rhythm of the beat!
